Getting started

Fill out the quote form with a few details about your child — subjects, grade, schedule, and any learning needs. We'll review it and email you a tutor recommendation, usually within 48 hours.

Most families get matched with a tutor within 48 hours, and the first session happens the same or following week. At busy times — exam season, back-to-school — matching can take up to a week. If your timing is urgent, let us know in the quote form.

No. There are no contracts. Pay per session, cancel or reschedule anytime with 24 hours' notice.

Subjects & levels

Math (Grades K–8 through Grade 12 university-prep, including MCR3U, MHF4U, MCV4U, and MDM4U), sciences (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at Grade 11 and 12, plus Grade 9 science and K–8), English (K–12 including the ENG1D/1P through ENG4U/4C pathways and ESL support), Computer Science (ICS2O, ICS3U, ICS4U, plus Java and Python), and K–8 general support. We also prep students for EQAO and OSSLT, and support Canadian university and high school admissions.

Yes, on a case-by-case basis for first-year math (calculus, linear algebra) and intro computer science. Send us the course code in the quote form and we'll tell you if we have a tutor available.

Yes. For Canadian university admissions, we coach portfolios for art, design, and media programs, prep students for Ontario programs that require an entrance exam, and give guidance on program selection, prerequisite courses, and application timelines. For high school admissions, we help with entrance-test prep and application support for specialized and private programs in Ontario.

Format

In person is usually better for younger students and children who focus better with a person in the room. Online works well for high school and up, busy schedules, and students outside Scarborough.

We use Zoom with screen sharing and a shared digital whiteboard. The tutor and student can write on the same surface, work through problems together, and share files.

Your home, a local library, or another quiet spot nearby. In-person tutoring is available in Scarborough. For families anywhere else in Ontario, we tutor online.

Pricing & scheduling

Rates depend on subject, grade level, and session frequency. Submit a quote request and you'll get a personalized rate and tutor match by email, usually within 48 hours — no obligation.

60 minutes by default. 30-minute and 90-minute sessions are available.

Most students do 1–3 sessions per week. We'll recommend a frequency based on the subject, your child's pace, and any upcoming tests.

Yes. We ask for 24 hours' notice. The first missed session without notice is excused. Any after that are charged at the full session rate.

Tutors

Yes. Every tutor passes a vulnerable-sector police check before working with students.

We match your child with a tutor based on subjects, grade level, and learning style. If it isn't the right fit after a session or two, let us know and we'll reassign — every session, including the first with a new tutor, is billable.

Every tutor on our team has at least four years of tutoring experience, is currently at or has graduated from university, and has deep expertise in the subjects they teach.
