EQAO Grade 9 Math prep · Toronto & online

EQAO Grade 9 Math prep for Toronto students.

The Education Quality and Accountability Office assesses every Grade 9 math student in Ontario. We work from your child's actual Grade 9 math course, so test day isn't a surprise.

Our approach

We review what's on the assessment, not a generic workbook.

Your actual course

EQAO's Grade 9 assessment is built on the Grade 9 math course content. We review the material your child is already learning in class, not a separate curriculum.

Test format

We walk through the assessment's format and question types so your child knows what to expect and isn't caught off guard on the day.

Confidence, not cramming

We match your child with a tutor who teaches to how they learn, building real understanding rather than last-minute memorization.

EQAO Grade 9 Math

The Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) runs a province-wide math assessment for every Ontario Grade 9 student, based on the content of the Grade 9 math course (MTH1W). It's a normal part of the school year, and a little focused review goes a long way toward walking in confident.

We pair your child with a tutor who reviews the specific course content they'll be assessed on, working through the same material as their regular math sessions so prep never feels like an extra subject.

Questions

Common questions about EQAO prep.

Does EQAO prep replace regular math tutoring?

No — it's built into it. Since the assessment is based on the Grade 9 math course, an ongoing math tutor naturally prepares your child for it as part of regular sessions.

When should we start?

As early in the course as you'd like — the earlier a tutor is involved, the more the assessment feels like a normal part of the material rather than a separate thing to cram for.
